Other Fold – Liability Waiver & Health Acknowledgment

Use of the sauna facilities is entirely at your own risk. By booking a session with Other Fold Sauna Co., I confirm that I have read, understood, and agree to the following:

Health & Risks

I am responsible for my own health and wellbeing when using the sauna and associated facilities.

Sauna use involves exposure to high temperatures and carries inherent risks, including but not limited to dehydration, heat exhaustion, hyperthermia, dizziness, fainting, and burns from contact with heated surfaces.

The sauna heater, stove, chimney flue, rocks, and surrounding metal components become extremely hot during operation. By entering the sauna area, I acknowledge and accept the risk of burns from contact with these heated surfaces.

If I am unsure whether sauna use is safe, I should consult my GP before booking or attending a session.

This is particularly important if I have any of the following conditions:

  • Pregnancy

  • History of heart attack or stroke

  • Cardiovascular conditions

  • Epilepsy

  • Asthma or breathing conditions

  • High or low blood pressure

  • Arterial disease

  • Joint or muscle injury

  • Use of medications that may affect my ability to safely use a sauna

  • Surgical implants or artificial joints that may be affected by heat

  • Any other medical condition that may affect my safety

By booking a session, I confirm that I understand these risks and have sought medical advice where appropriate

Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under UK law.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Other Fold Sauna Co. is not responsible for injury, loss, or damage resulting from the inherent risks of sauna use or from failure to follow safety instructions or guidance provided by staff.

Weather & Operational Changes

As an outdoor sauna experience, sessions may occasionally need to be adjusted, delayed, or cancelled due to severe weather, safety concerns, operational requirements, or instructions from local authorities or landowners.

If Other Fold Sauna Co. needs to cancel or significantly change a booking for these reasons, guests will be offered the option to reschedule or receive a refund.

Cancellations & Refunds

Bookings may be cancelled or rescheduled up to 48 hours before the scheduled session time.

To cancel or reschedule:

  1. Locate the original booking confirmation email.

  2. Click the “Change / Cancel Appointment” link.

  3. Select an alternative date and time to rebook, or click cancel.

Cancelling a booking does not automatically provide a refund. Once cancelled, I must email sauna@otherfold.comwith a copy of my cancellation email and request a refund. Refunds typically take 5–7 working days to process.

Group Bookings

If I make a booking for a group, I am responsible for ensuring all members of the group have read and understood these terms and conditions before attending.

Refused Admission

Other Fold Sauna Co. reserves the right to refuse entry to anyone who appears intoxicated or whose behaviour may pose a health or safety risk.

No refunds will be issued to individuals refused admission under these circumstances.

I confirm that I am over the age of 18 and have the capacity to enter into this agreement.

By signing below, I acknowledge that I have read, understood, and agreed to the terms of this Liability Waiver, and that I will adhere to the House Rules. I am signing voluntarily and without coercion or undue influence. I understand that I am entitled to seek independent legal advice before signing, should I have any concerns about this waiver.
